Cold start issue and bad smell from exhaust?
Evening gents. I posted about this before and im going to see if I can sort it. I'm going get new glow plugs and relay and see what happens then. My question is what glow plugs do I go for? cruise control supply and fit near to swindon wiltshire.
Is there anyone who can supply, fit and activate cruise control on my 04 b5.5 tdi pd130? I've looked at the how to guide but don't fancy it, plus I don't have a registered vcds.

Re: AWX PD130 injectors
Hmmm I was thinking that one could be faulty so the fuel doesn't combust properly? I've tried injector cleaner but no improvement. So next was the glow plugs.

Re: AWX PD130 injectors
How do I test the glow plugs are working correctly with Vcds? I have no lights or fault codes. But the exhaust whiff is worse when just started or when sat idle.
I have read that the glow plugs work quite a bit when the engine isn't under load as it cools quite quickly.

Re: AWX PD130 injectors
I'm going to get some injector cleaner and a new fuel filter on my way home from work today and see if that improves anything. Will fill the filter with cleaner and the rest in the tank.

Re: AWX PD130 injectors
OK will give it a go on my way to work as it's a 32 mile commute. As they seem ok I can assume the injectors are all good? Everything else functions as it should. So for the whiffy smell im still lost.

AWX PD130 injectors
I think I have a dodgy I injector??? When I start from cold it seems to splutter like a petrol would with a miss fire but only for a short time then it stops. Is there any way of testing the injectors? Or is it better to replace them??
