Re: Help save stylin's wagon

Don't know WTF that mechanic was on about then. He said you can't get the bolts on the back of the engine off without pulling it all forward!!!

I need to get it recovered back to mine then have a look.

Re: Help save stylin's wagon

The timing inspection window shows the flywheel. If this is broken its 250 for a new dual mass type plus box off to fit and 8hours labour max Hope you get this sorted. That's what moves forward into engine. What other damage is likely to have happened do you think? Also could this of been what caus...

That would make the starte ring jump forward and not spin?

When you turn the key all that happens is it screeches. None of the belts turn (Inc cam belt) and the noise sounds like it's coming from the back.

So most of you will know stylins blue wagon. You should do it was car of the month a little while back. Well I'm it's new owner and we haven't got off on the best of terms. At this point I'd like to say I've spoken to Mr Stylin a couple of times since purchasing and do not blame him or hold him resp...

Boot issue

Does anybody have pics of the boot locking mech of a B5 estate? The bit that links the little actuator to the actual mech.

Odd I know, just wanna check something!

Re: Loud and I mean loud engine tapping. Tdi

Which pulley the middle one as you look at the engine, the big one? Just spoke to a mechanic and he said it sounds like something rattling at the back, not too serious. He did say though, he thinks the head gasket is on the way out. Said there was Water in the oil/dipstick. Also said there was White...

There is a fair bit of lateral movement. Not sure what is excessive though.

I'll make a little video.

Loud and I mean loud engine tapping. Tdi

So I got my first tdi wagon today. It's a B5 tdi auto. Had a nice long drive (170miles) home in it, and then ten miles from home it all went a bit pair shape. Just wondering if anyone has experienced the same issue I'm having. Idling or close to idling it makes the most horrific tapping noise. I mea...

Re: vibration from front wheels ..?

Hell yeah they can.

Potholes suck ass.

That seams a lot for tracking.

I paid last time £25 for 4wheel track and £30 per adjustment on camber.

Re: Rim sizes

The ET no is relative to how far afrom the inside they are. So the extra width will be on the outside if you know what I mean.

They'll stick out a bit more

Small small world.

I hopefully pick up the bus on the weekend.

Where you off to next? Oxon is pricey to live. Will get along to the kassam.

Had a look on the stretch link and I'm liking 215/225 just the stretch I'm looking for.

Offset is et35.

Holy poo. 215s on a 9.5j. That's going to be crazy stretch no.

I'll probably be better off with 8.5j all round.

Luvmydubs you from Oxfordshire. I'm in Abingdon!
