Just out of interest, my brakes seem to be a bit stiffer than normal. I've had the pump changed last year but I think one of the lines off the valve goes onto it, if the valve is faulty would this cause stiffness in the braking system?

Vagcommed the car last week due to poor starting and it threw up charge pressure control fault - positive deviation, also MAF inaudible. Changed the MAF, still inaudible.
Took it to a garage, they fault coded it using different software and it threw up a N239 fault, mechanic then spent a while ...

It may be that AS WELL as water coming in from pollen filter housing, which needs sorting properly as yours sounds quite bad, you also have a water leak from the inner door panel - at least the one messed with possibly others. If the old door panel seals are disturbed or messed with the can start ...

Plenum drains were done under the VW recall last June, as for the pollen housing seal, it seems intact. The only thing I've noticed is a crack in the scuttle that the Autoglass technician broke when changing the screen in August last year.

Had this problem for about 5 months. the front screen fogs up. Doesn't feel damp to the touch, looks greasy and if you use a towel and a lot of elbow grease it clears, but returns within 10-20 minutes.
There has always been the odd leak, not from the matrix but before the plenums were sorted ...
