Re: MY FIRST B2 PASSAT

Lovely B2 mate, reminds me a lot of how my red one looked when I first got it. Air ride, some fancy rims and a LOT of colour magic polish totally transformed mine :D http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5262/5619272198_a824417e2b_z.jpg http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6192/6067149034_aeafa09d9e_z.jpg http://f...

Hi TIm,

Here it is for all the other B2 Junkies out there -

It's looking good. What sort of mileage has it covered and do you have a guide price in mind for it?

Re: Air ride B2 - engine swap advice??

I'd love to put a V6 in the ol' girl but having driven a heavily worked Audi S2 today with an apparently modest (?!!!!) according to the owner anyway, 430BHP, I'm now sold on the idea of a 5-cylinder turbo lump, cheers for the offer though, much appreciated. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7VWeIa-ai...

dick dasterdley wrote:I like this a lot! how much did the struts set you back?

Around about £500 including all the fabrication, bags and plates for the fronts and a whooping £450 for the Chapman legs for the back end after import tax from the US of A.

Re: Hello everyone B2 Owner here from London

Cheers for all the good vibes people, really appreciate it. I'll try and get the engine and 'box out over the weekend and see how the 1.8T mocks up. It's all new ground for me with this car as no-one seems to have gone down the 1.8T route. The other option is of course a 5-cyl turbo but I think find...

No worries, I'll get some cardboard templates at the weekend hopefully and go from there.

Re: Hello everyone B2 Owner here from London

Welcome aboard. This looks very, very nice indeed. Do you have anymore pictures of the build? Matt Hi Matt, There's a few more snaps in the Members ride bit now. I have much to learn about B2s still and the pics do cover up a few minor dings and dents, but I'm really happy with how she's looking at...

Re: Air ride B2 - engine swap advice??

Ahh yeah.... I love Martin's Audi but i'd imagine there's a few hundred hours labour in that engine bay. Hiding an air filter within the dash is further than I'd like to push things really and I'd like to fit 200+bhp never lift the bonnet ideally :D

Re: Air ride B2 - engine swap advice??

Personnaly i would go for audis 5cyl turbo, and run emerald or omex Not much in it cost wise, but if you can pick up a doner 100 turbo it shouldnt be to hard to do (big IF) Audi a4 or a6 1.8t are mega cheap as a doner, wire it up with emerald etc might be slightly cheaper Good project, would like t...

Air ride B2 - engine swap advice??

Hello people, just joined on here as I figure you guys and gals must be the right people to ask about puttng a 20v turbo into a B2 shape Passat. Managed to save the 24,194 mile ol' girl from the scrapheap. When the ol' dear who owned it before was told she was no longer fit to drive she decided to w...

Hello everyone B2 Owner here from London

Watcha people, I'm new to the world of virtual Passat chat, but a long term owner of B3 and B4 Estates as my daily hack abouts. Anyway... just bought a 24,000 miles B2 from an old lady who'd been told she was no longer fit to drive. She'd taken it to the scrapyard and decided to weigh it in. Suffice...
