I turned my seat belt warning off and now the handbrake won't auto release when pulling away some times.
I've had the seat belt chime turned off for nearly a year now and my handbrake has never failed to release itself...

check the connection on the chime speaker.
i had this fault after doing some work behind the boot trim, it must have been knocked loose while removing/fitting bits but once it was pushed back in tight ive never had problems :)

Yer I was thinking 10mm, any more and I'd need a slight stretch but want to keep it OEM.
Spacers arnt at the top of my list ATM though, plenty of other bits to get first although the project in general will be on hold until the new year as I'm going back to Afghanistan in September.

You can get some coil helpers for fitting when towing. That way you can take them out the rest of the time so handling isn't affected

Mine are quite good too! The first time after the car starts is always slow though, it seems it doesn't check when it starts up, it just checks after several minutes. So i always have to move the slider on the stalk to get it to trigger. Very annoying, as I feel it should do that itself. But once ...
