I had a Passat with bkp engine and mine went pop at 117k took out the turbo too.

If you go for an early one like mine, make sure all the faults have happened already or get ready for them.
Not impressed with mine, so many faults.

Its nice to look at though, if that makes a difference.

Paperwork says Control module part number 3C0 907 801 B Component EPB Vc8HC001 013 0001 1 fault found 01316 -ABS Control Module 013 - Check DTC Memory -MIL ON I guess it is the abs control but the P/N us not on this diagnostic? The control module mentioned is the EPB P/N? Does this point to the abs ...

Thanks, they are telling me that part is the handbrake module? Anyway i will have a proper look when i get home and see what they say tomorrow.

I got the diagnostics report from last week its actually 3C0 907 801 B. The place i was going to send it off to just told me they done fix this part? Great.

What is Bba Reman ?

Does anyone know the part number for the ABS Module?
Mine has an error company to repair need the part number.

Car is 2005 2.0 TDI passat.

BKP engine if that makes a difference?

My b6 is not as reliable as my old Bora. It's a Shame as it's a great looking car but I'm starting to hate it. Fault after fault. Zzzzzz

Is the Turbo OK? IS £1400 all in the price?

They will, they charge top dollar.

No the garage I purchased it from did it. I would not go to VW I'd use an independAnt if it was me. Has it been looked at yet?

It was under warranty from the garage still. But they are around 800 quid I think maybe less for a reconditioned one?

This has started happening to mine too alway under 2k rpm. I've become conscious o black smoke when I boot it and soot in the exhaust tips. Although I only do short trips to work so dunno ifthat is playing a part. I need to give the car a run.

No recall but they did redesign the part for when the bkp fails. More than likely will need a new turbo too.

More than likely the turbo has been killed to due to oil starvation. If it's the Cain one like mine they replace it with a new redesigned one + new turbo too.

If it helps, when my old turbo died due to oil pump failure it never whined. Since getting a new replacement one it does the siren whine at low rpm. This is of course a new turbo! Pulls sweet as a nut though.

I would also check to see if the oil pump has been replaced.

When my 55 reg is parked next to my bosses 10 plate there is no difference apart from 5 years lol

Ive noticed bubling on my drivers side wheel arch so im a bit worried about this. I think the anti corrosion/rust warranty is about 12 years? I guess i will have to contact VW.
