Yes water pump changed with timing belt. Would bypassing stop her overheating if it's the cooler?

I've searched the web inc eBay for the correct throttle position sensor for my 2.0 8v 2E engine but struggling to find one, don't want to use the stealer as likely to be extortionate. Where have you bought one?? Hoping it'll sort out the surging and coughing and fluctuating idle...

Ok, had a look and two hoses have been joined together with a smaller hose.... oh fiddlesticks! guess when spring finally gets here it'll be a dash out job...... Chore

Thanks for that, well the chap I got her from said the heater matrix was stuffed and I get no heat inside at all, the temp guage on dash hardly moves off the bottom either but that probably a seperate issue like sender or thermostat. MOT passed today...... Hooray, now the fun can begin spending and tricking up ;) well stoked as only advisories were rear brake discs pitted and inner tyre wear on front but that was caused by the drop links that had worn....

Red Passat on eBay cl estate 1989, 1.9td but the engine says tdi on the top?? I thought the tdi only appeared in the B4.

If you Passat is 1996 she will likely be a B4 not B3, so I'm not certain if you have a throttle body with butterfly inside or not but if you do I would clean this out as it could be sticking open due to coke build up... Also check your accelerator cable linkage is returning properly. Simple things f...
