I have brought a little box of tricks of eBay connects straight to battery then gives you two cables. To connect your drls to .
Also another wire that you connect to the lights when the ignition comes on the drls come on! When you put on the main beam they go off great ...

Lights have come today but could do with some help with the fitting ,dont want to blow up my car!any ideas on how to fit.

hi all i have just brought of ebay two led strips ,(one of the lads of here posted the link) .
i am looking for some help on how to wire them into the car .
i would like them to come on with the ignition and not the side lights.
do i have to come off the battery with an inline fuse and a switch in ...

Hi all I own a 55 plate passat 19 se ,the thing is I would like to make the car look different ,but as I have a family and not that good a job do you lads have any ideas what I could do to personalise it on a buget.

Any help would be great.

hi i had the same problem with my centre brake light ,it wasnt working took the light out to find i had a loose solder joint .
re soldered it put it back and it worked fine ,you can take these things apart give it a go .

just done the brake light loose conector on the led board ,just a bit of solder and as good as new .

thanks for that i will give it a go ,mirror glass seems a bit scary any idea whats best for uncliping it.

hi all just acouple of jobs that need doing.

rear parking brake light in the rear window ,its not working how do you get to it and any pointers on why its not working.
secondly the mirror indicators only one side working ,again how do you get to the bulbs and any pointers to why its not working ...

have you tried eurocar parts or tps ,when i brought my passat out of curiosity i phoned euro and the calipers for the rear were about £180 each ,hope this helps.

got it booked into vw on friday morning , it comes up with steering lock fult and somtimes the car starts and cuts out ,hope its all to do with the steering lock module we will soon find out ,vw did say today that they might have to replace the steering colum being the worst case.

just brought a 2005 passat 19tdi,i have had it for just over a week and now have a problem .

when i put the key in the ignition the yellow steering lock comes on and i get a noise of the steering lock trying to disengauge ,sometimes it works straight away other times it takes 5 or 6 times to start ...

had the car 24 hours now and it seems that i have brought a really nice car ,looking at the mpg on the computer imgoing to be saving on fuel compered to my old audi 18 t sport .
maybe give it a polish if the weather holds out .
