Re: Retrofit front fogs?

It's easy enough to make your own loom. The front fog equipped headlight switch has an extra pin on the back with can be used to trigger the relay.

They are pointless tho. On my Amarok, I've fitted LED bulbs to match the colour of the xenons and wired them to flash with main beam.

Re: B5.5 wagon rear light options

W8 rear lights are subtlety different as they have a chrome strip on the bottom edge, but I guess that's not what you want. B5 lights can be retro fitted. The process is just the reverse of the 5.5 into a 5 swap. Personally I'm not keen on aftermarket LED lights. The unfussy look suits the car much ...

A damp mircofibre cloth will take the dust off, then dress it with https://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/poorboys ... k-dressing afterwards. It's best applied with a foam applicator to work it into the 'grain' of the plastic.

Re: tpms - won't reset.

If it has a button, it will work on wheel speed sensors, not the valves. The system with the valves sends live tyre pressure data to the MFD. This can't be reset, you must have the correct pressures give or take a couple of PSI otherwise you get a warning showing which tyre is low. If the cars has t...

Re: B7 digital display mph reading in kph

You can't do it, but what you can do with VCDS is set the instruments to Rest Of World, which enables you to have a large digital speedo in MPH and the small KPH dispaly replaced with outside temperature.

Where abouts are you, Someone may be able to do this for you.

Re: Very Juddery Rear Wiper on New Passat

If it's had a new blade, then the issue is with the glass. Most probably some sort of bonded contaminant picked up during transit from the factory to the dealer. I would try claying the screen or using some sort of fallout remover to give it a proper clean.

https://www.kufatec.co.uk/shop/en/volkswagen/passat/b7/retrofit-kit-fog-lights-vw-passat-b7 Yes they can, although your car may not have the control unit to support them. If that it the case, it's easy enough to wire them as we would have done with a relayed loom in the old days. You'll need a front...

Ok. So swapping switch and window motor make the mirrors operate as per the old car. But now ive got a number of errors. Is this because ive swapped bits or is there other problems? There isn't one on the dash, but the icon on the switch lights up. It's hard to see, so best not to use them. Front fog lights are pretty pointless anyway.

Re: Towbars wheels and Swapping non folding door mirrors for folding ones.

For towbars, I had a Westfalia detachable swan neck. You need a hole in the black bumper trim panel, but it's in the horizontal part of it, so can't be seen unless you are on your hands and knees. I also had the full vehicle specific wiring harness with the necessary coding. This will turn off the r...

Yes. They are a bit of a squeeze to get the clip between the glass and the housing, but you won't do any damage.

Milenco mirrors are about the best there are. No issues with paint rub or vibrations. I started out with the regular ones, but changed to grand aero for an even better view.
