I'll have this checked before they start any work. If things are bad internally then there is just no point in going ahead with a turbo (unless I was prepared to open the can of worms of an engine re-build etc)

Yeah mate my car is a B5.5 2001 Y-Plate (same facelifted shape as your car in the picture).

By the looks of it they probably do. Its possible the bulbs are fooked.

Are the open/closed symbols at the sides of 2no. central vents and driver side vent supposed to illuminate.
