Touran Help !!! Coolant & Fans
Hoping that someone will be able to help.... 2007 Touran 140 TDI Problem 1: I noticed this during the summer, the fan will be making the normal wooshing noise from within the dash, but very little cool air was coming out. As the weather is now getting colder, the same thing is happening with warm ai...

Re: Remote Lead into an RCD 300 - B6
Re-addressing this issue, I discovered that I've already asked the question a few years ago. I have the amp, sub fitted, wires all run, I just need to find a way of sending a remote signal from RCD300 Headunit to the amp. Is there a specific wire I could use, or do I need to order a special plug to ...

Drivers Door not able to open from outside
Hopefully someone will be able to assist me and offer some guidance. I press the unlock button twice on the remote and the car unlocks, but the drivers door handle appears to still be locked. I can open it from the inside, but as you can imagine this is sometimes very tough in a busy carpark. Any id...

Re: Gearbox issue
Mine is on 171000, so I suppose it's about time. My local garage is quoting £600 and a further £300 if DMF needs replacing. What do you think ?

Gearbox issue
Hi All, Hopefully you'll be able to offer me some advice. Over the past few days, its becoming increasingly difficult to put the car into gear. I initally thought it may be the clutch, but after speaking to VW, they think its not. It is the same challenge where ever the clutch is, either fully down ...

Interior Light Question
Hi all, Small and minor issue, but can be annoying on occasions. When you initially unlock and enter the car, the interior lights should be on. They should also come on after you remove the ignition key. My B6 is somewhat intermitant, sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. Any ideas or suggesti...

B6 Interior Question
I am pretty sure of the answer, but I'm going to ask anyway. Would CC interior fit into a B6 Saloon ??? The reason I am asking is that the lumber support on my drivers seat has gone and I know someone, who knows someone with a CC interior for sale...... Also, if anyone has just a drivers seat or a f...

Re: Swimming pool in rear passenger footwell !!
Also check the rubber seal around the pollen filter. When I had a B5.5 estate, I cleared the plenem drains and the problem only got worse (funny ha). I replaced the seal and problem solved. Make sure the CCM under the front passenger footwell doesn't get flooded, this will cause you no end of hassle...

Re: how to remove the front seats
I need to replace the drivers seat as the eletric lumber support has given up its ghost. Reading through the below post, disconnecting the earth before starting, will this prevent me having a fault code coming up on the dashboard ???

Slight judder / Hesitation under acceleration
Its rather ironic, only a couple of days ago I posted that my trusty B6 was fault free and then yesterday on the way home from shopping the engine started playing up..??? What I'm finding is at around 1800 to 2500 rpm when accelerating, the car kind of stammers or judders, I took it very eas...

Re: B5.5 vs B6 ???
I've had my B6 for three years, put over 50,000 miles on and touch wood, not a problem to mention. Just passed its third MOT with only a couple of minor advisory's.
Still, to complicate things, my old B5.5 was just as good.
VW's gotta luv em

Just changed from B5.5 to B6
Just fitted my new wheels, they are Interlargos from a Passat CC. I know it's been done before, but I do think they look the business.

B6 VW Boot Badge replacement
The original badge on the boot of my B6 Saloon has corroded, so I was lucky enough to pick up a OEM (2008) Badge from ebay for £10. The challenge I now have is fitting it. It looks like you just prise the old badge off and stick the new one in place, is this correct ??
Thanks
