Re: Audi fat five tyre problems

245 seems a bit too wide? As said usually 18's use 225/40/18.

Re: Spark plug for a remapped 1.8T

Well they won't be overly bad I expect, they were replaced not that many miles ago by a mechanic pal of mine. Still, it's probably a good time to change them, especially as the cars re-mapped and I'm having an issue at WOT.

Re: Spark plug for a remapped 1.8T

These are the plugs I've read about and are supposed to be very good re re-mapped cars. I think I'll invest in some as they're only cheap from eBay or Amazon. I don't actually know what plugs I've got in it at the moment! :0

Spark plug for a remapped 1.8T

Just wondering what you guys with remapped 20V turbos are using? I'm trying to eliminate a long standing problem with the car holding back at WOT. I thought I'd fixed it when I cleaned out the breather system but although better, it's still there. I'm wondering if going to a colder spec plug might h...

Re: 1.8t pcv guide

That's a good right up, he's really gone to town and replaced everything. I did mine a couple of weeks ago and just replaced the plastic elbow that comes out of the block - that's all that needed replacing really. I cleaned everything else. You don't need to take the manifold off to do this job, I j...

Re: 1.8T AWT Injector seals

I suppose it doesn't. I was just concerned about dirt getting inside the head/valve area. I guess I could give the seats a good clean first before removal. Might look into this job soon. Thanks guys.

Re: 1.8T AWT Injector seals

Will the leak likely be caused by the inserts or seals? I'd rather not have to strip the manifold off and replace the inserts if I don't have to.

Cheers for the link.

1.8T AWT Injector seals

It's appears mine are weeping a bit and I'm thinking about changing them. Has anybody done this job? If so where did you get the seals from and how much were they? http://i1076.photobucket.com/albums/w444/gtturbof1/4965B29A-E286-4148-B670-502F3FE09BC7.jpg http://i1076.photobucket.com/albums/w444/gtt...

Re: Only 210bhp! - Where Have My Ponies Gone? :-(

From the graph it seems to be making full power quite early too, somewhere between 4500-500 rpm. What are the AFR's? If it's running rich that won't be helping things.

Some people like sprouts some people hate them - we're all different!

From what I hear the Fiesta ST is supposed to be a great driving fun little 'hot hatch'. I can see why people would like them. I can see why some don't.

It could be many things. Ultimately he'll know what he's been being with the car so he should have an idea? Other than that a fault scan will be the first port of call I would say.

To be honest Top Gear has been like this for years now. Not so much ABOUT cars as such, it's more about 3 middle aged men messing around IN cars!

Isn't gone 8 o'clock a little late for a 3 year old to be up?

I haven't done this job myself but imagine it will be a pig of a job, especially if you haven't got a ramp. The engine is longitudinal so you'll need to get right under the car to remove the box - which will be heavy. You will save quite a bit doing it yourself.

OEM filters are Mahle?, at least the one I got from VW was :esm

I think as long as the oil meets the right specs it doesn't matter about the brand.
