Its not our fault you live in a wet part of the world, Down here in drought ridden East Anglia we dream about rain. as we have to use a bucket to clean our cars due to the hose pipe ban, stop moaning you have it good up there..... #:-s

Re: B3 wagon 1.8-vr6

I would look for a 2.0 8valve if i were you. A wise man once said dont build what you can buy. IIRC you need a VR6 subframe to fit the VR but thats off the top of my head and i stand to be corrected.
2.0 gives plenty of power and there is one on here for £120.

Re: b3 running issue

If you still have a problem check the breather pipe between the bottom of the engine at the front and the top of the engine. This can get blocked and cause rough running.

Re: b4 1995 elec windows

There is a controller under the rear seat first check this is working properly, if it is it will most likely be cracked wires in the joint between the body and the door.

Re: b3 running issue

If its just at idle it is likely to be the ISV but if it happens at higher revs i would be looking for another cause, most likely a dodgy vacuum hose. The material hoses degrade over time so its worth buying a goodly length from the stealers and replacing them all.

Re: Finally got my audio wired up!

Are you running a single live lead from the battery and then trying to use an earth near the amp? If so that might be your problem. I always run an earth back to the battery ground that the battery uses. To check the amp run it from a spare battery with a short live and earth in its present position.

Re: Wheels, offsets, wobble bolts

I used wobble bolts when i fitted chrysler wheels to my passat. They were 5x115 so 3mm difference which is about the maximum you can go to. So your 5x114 to 5x112 is ok but i wouldnt risk 5x108 to 5x112 myself. I cant see how getting the pcd to 5x110 will help you as you need 5x112.

Wheels no problem just wanted the value not fitted my new lights yet but cant see a problem. All in all the lass i spoke to on the phone was ...

Re: Car Insurance time...again!!

£220 for my B3 Vr6 with admiral on multicar, pay about the same for the Alhambra and Mrs Doobies Mitsubishi so £670 for all 3 cars. They seem to be happy with most mods too. Both of us insured for all 3 cars. Bargain in this day and age. :esm
