Where to get a gearbox Multifunction Switch
Multifunction Switch replacement
After a lot of a mucking about with car not starting I have now realised that the problem was the automatic gearbox Multifunction Switch. Are these only avalable from VW?

Re: Changed rear discs and pads but now handbrake requires a
I did the rear discs on my wife's Golf on Sat, afterwards the handbrake would not hold the car and the hand brake had lots of travel. Ijust pulled up the hand brake a couple of times and pumped the foot brake and it adjusted itself, sorted!

Re: brake disc brands
I fitted pagid to rear abour 6 month ago and at the same time larger 322mm EBC Kit from Ebay to front, all discs are now working great, but pagid rears still have zinc coating to hub parts and look better, if this is important to you Pagid discs would be worth buying.

hi there
by the look of it,this is not a screw it's a pop-rivet. you need to drill it out with about a 3.5mm drill bit.

I agree; I have 30mm drop and it looks ok. They catch on big road humps etc every now and then, but if I am switched on I can avoid it. I would recomend them.

I did my oil filter coulple of weeks ago, the filter itself was really tight so I took out three screws holding the header tank and was able to get at the filter from the top, if this is any help. don,t forget to disconnect the sensor wire though.
