Also see my new post! I found water coming in through the seam in front of the ecu hole.
It was running down the slit and into the driver side footwell

Re: What is it with these cars and water ingress!!!
I’ll reply to myself found it!!!! I wouldn’t have believed it if I didn’t see the water disappearing through it!
The seam bottom side of the ECU hole.
And believe me there was plenty able to get down it and into the footwell.
Tiger sealed it up

Re: Front upper control arms
Are you sure it's mm not nm, because first one is size while other is torque measure for tightening bolts. Normally people tighten bushing bolts whith wheels preload not hanging, to prevent bushings for being twisted all time. Not sure if there's any specific measures stated about this process. It’...

The part number for your front springs (1 blue and 1 grey spot) is 8D0 411 105 CS. Take the advice you find here about buying replacements and you will have no problems. I’ve got the part number but trying to find them is proving the problem :hyst everything else but these :(( May go down the eibac...

Re: Apart from the usual water ingress places....
I’ve found it coming in my wagon under the foam bung that surrounds the wiring behind the kick panel.
I thought I’d done everything and was still getting ingress!!!! Then spotted the water tracking marks and did the watering can test.

Re: Door actuator connector removal
The lock body and actuator all come out with the metal carrier panel.
Door card off, window down and drive the dowel out.
Window up and tape in place, wind back down, undo lock and release the handle.
Remove the bolts on metal panel and remove said panel.
Cheers Craig

Looks gimmicky and hit or miss to make sound and proper solder joints, and expensive. Solder and heatshrink is a long proven and standard way to do repairs that done properly is more than suitable, and if you really want belt and braces coating with a hot glue gun. :) Yeah I’ve done all mine with a...

Forgot to add,if you open a door and your module is working ok the car won’t automatically lock after the said door is closed. Your car only locks itself if you have a bad door module as the car doesn’t know the doors been opened so automatically locks in 30 seconds. All my locks are working as they...

If the small cable that fits into the exterior handle isn’t set right this can cause problems with the setup.
If it set to tight it wouldn’t allow the drop back to register door open.
