If you’ve got water coming over the sill? It’s 100% door carrier seals.
I took mine off, cleaned out the bottom u channel and 200mm up the sides.
Used 15mm butyl tape placed along the channel and bolted back on.
No more leaks [emoji1303]

I cured my pollen filter by getting a paint tray! You may laugh[emoji16] cut the side out and fitted it over the pollen housing.
It still allows plenty of air into the cabin but no water [emoji1305]

Ecu housing seal and bonnet pull cable grommet
Also see my new post! I found water coming in through the seam in front of the ecu hole.
It was running down the slit and into the driver side footwell

found it!!!! I wouldn’t have believed it if I didn’t see the water disappearing through it!
The seam bottom side of the ECU hole.
And believe me there was plenty able to get down it and into the footwell.
Tiger sealed it up

The part number for your front springs (1 blue and 1 grey spot) is 8D0 411 105 CS.
Take the advice you find here about buying replacements and you will have no problems.

Re: Apart from the usual water ingress places....
I’ve found it coming in my wagon under the foam bung that surrounds the wiring behind the kick panel.
I thought I’d done everything and was still getting ingress!!!! Then spotted the water tracking marks and did the watering can test.

Re: Door actuator connector removal
The lock body and actuator all come out with the metal carrier panel.
Door card off, window down and drive the dowel out.
Window up and tape in place, wind back down, undo lock and release the handle.
Remove the bolts on metal panel and remove said panel.
Cheers Craig

Re: Passat owners
Looks gimmicky and hit or miss to make sound and proper solder joints, and expensive.
Solder and heatshrink is a long proven and standard way to do repairs that done properly is more than suitable, and if you really want belt and braces coating with a hot glue gun. :)
Yeah I’ve done all mine ...
